Engineer in Training (EIT)

Work Location:  Wharton, TX

Duties:  Field support for Geotech PE on a specific job site.

Skills:  Strong background in engineering, with knowledge in Geotechnical Engineering; Detail-oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $43,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year

Schedule: 10-hour shifts, Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:  Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

​Experienced Construction Material Testing Technician

Location: We are searching for employees in Austin, San Antonio, Houston, and the Rio Grande Valley.

​

As a CMT Field Technician you will be conducting tests and field observations for construction materials, including soil, concrete, asphalt, reinforcing steel, foundations, and masonry. Technicians observe and test construction materials and report their findings to ensure that projects are completed according to the design engineer’s plans and specifications.

Qualifications:

RELIABILITY IS A MUST: This position requires that you arrive on time for scheduled job sites as requested.

High school diploma or equivalent
3-5 years’ experience expected. 
Current ACI or able to obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
Valid Texas driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
Ability to write reports and correspondence.
Must be detailed oriented.
Must be willing to participate in and pass pre-employment screening including a background investigation, drug screening and driving record.
Must continue to maintain a safe driving record and valid drivers to fulfill travel requirements of this position.
Smart phone as this is the current way of tracking time.

Responsibilities to Include but not limited to:

Perform routine samples and testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, and asphalt and assist with more complex tasks, as required.
Preparing detailed and complete field reports will all relevant test results.
Communicate with clients, contractors and technician staff.
Evaluating site and subgrade conditions on projects and providing recommendations.
